The operation of Shepherd’s Table is dependent on donations from individuals, communities, schools, congregations, and businesses. These are “in-kind donations.” We supplement these items with purchases from our fund of financial donations. In order to keep general operating cost as low as possible, it is essential for us to receive in-kind items that are in high demand. This is why we ask that you donate items from the list below; however, all donations are appreciated.
Margarine or butter
Hot sauce (an item our guests love)

Canned vegetables (large #10 cans)
Soup (cream-based or broth)
Sweet-N-Low or other sugar substitutes
Aluminum foil (large industrial roll)

Clothing Closet Items:
We always accept donations of new and gently used-clothing and shoes. Please donate seasonal items and those items that will enhance the dignity of our clients.
New Men’s and Women’s Socks
New Men’s Underwear (smaller sizes)
New Women’s Underwear (all sizes)
Shampoo, conditioner, soap, shaving cream, toothpaste, and deodorant (travel-size bottles)

Paper (97 bright white)
Deliveries of in-kind donations are accepted at Progress Place, 8210A Colonial Lane, Silver Spring, MD 20910, on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and weekends between 1 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
